Our story

Over thirty years ago, it all started with a desk, a phone, and a dream. From there, Suzy Jurist’s energy, keen design sense, and smart brand instincts built SJI Associates into an award-winning creative firm. One that’s helped create industry-defining entertainment brands. Pioneered new marketing tactics. And mobilized around some of the most important causes.

Throughout the years, we’ve been a key part of the entertainment industry’s digital transformation, while also furthering social causes close to our hearts. We’ve worked on the naming, branding, and marketing for HBO streaming services such as HBO GO, HBO Now, and HBO Max, and created much of the artwork you’ll see across streaming platforms, including Disney+, Max, and the PBS app. We’ve rebranded children’s entertainment cornerstones, such as Fred Rogers Productions, and launched groundbreaking multiplatform publishing properties, including Scholastic’s The 39 Clues. Beyond entertainment, we’ve partnered with The United Nations and Team Rubicon on important issues affecting the entire world, and tacked issues closer to home with non-profits such as The New York Landmarks Conservancy and The Jewish Board.

Today, SJI works with companies all around the world. From global brands to local businesses, from entertainment to finance, we bring a depth of communications expertise to every partnership. Above all, we’ve prided ourselves on turning projects into relationships. On doing more for our clients. On imagining solutions to the problems they haven’t even yet thought of. It’s why many of those clients Suzy first called thirty years ago are still our partners today.
