As part of the launch of the Disney+ streaming service, Nat Geo needed new UI key art created for mobile, desktop, and connected TVs. Acting as virtual billboards, the show artwork helps drive audience discovery and retention by keeping users scrolling to see the next show.
From new Nat Geo hit series such as The World According to Jeff Goldblum, to intriguing documentaries like Mars: Inside SpaceX, dozens of titles were to be included—but only a few had existing art assets. Drawing upon a combination of custom and existing artwork and episodic photography, we created multiple iterations of key art, including many new logo designs, for nearly 100 different shows, movies, and mini-series.
Disney+ successfully launched with over 10 million subscribers, and we continue to work with Nat Geo in bringing more and more content to the platform.
SJI Associates’ work with National Geographic on the Disney+ launch has been an excellent collaboration.
