Bold. Memorable. Award winning. How to make creative to match? That is the challenge SJI has taken on in crafting HBO’s Emmy campaigns for eight years running. In that time, our work has helped draw the attention of Emmy voters, enticing them to watch the highlighted programs, and keep them top-of-mind in an ocean of competition.

The centerpiece of each campaign is an elegant boxed DVD set, sent to Television Academy members. This mailing must draw together all the year’s disparate artwork into one cohesive package, while being easy to use and navigate.

The mailing is supported by an extensive print and out-of-home campaign. Billboards are done in a “trade-as-consumer” vein, to appeal to the general public as well and help burnish HBO’s reputation as a top network.

The covers of major trade publications are also taken over, adding maximum impact to the campaign.

Through the eight years we have partnered with HBO on their campaigns, the network has successfully garnered 895 nominations and 89 Emmy wins—the most of any network.
